A social platform feels coherent when its everyday actions share the same underlying state. SMSocial therefore treats the feed, social graph, messaging and notifications as connected parts of one product.
Feed and Activity
The feed is the main activity surface. Members can publish, react, comment and return after a refresh without the experience feeling temporary or disconnected. Activity is designed to remain the canonical source for social interactions that may also appear in other views.
People and Network
The Network area represents social relationships such as followers, following, connections and requests. The distinction between following and accepted connections matters because different interactions can require different levels of relationship.
Messages
Private conversations are available within the SMSocial interface rather than redirecting users to WordPress administration. The product is being refined for compact desktop use and predictable mobile behaviour so a search field, modal or conversation cannot force the page wider than the phone viewport.
Notifications
Notifications provide a shared state for activity that needs the user’s attention. The same underlying notification state can later support additional presentation patterns without inventing a second notification system.
These four systems are deliberately treated as the social core because every additional community surface — Groups, Pages, Events, Marketplace, Stories and Video — depends on them feeling reliable first.
